Pogba: I’d like to play with Messi…

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba admits he wants to play with Lionel Messi, as he would with ‘all great players.’

Pogba was part of the FIFPro team of the year for 2015 alongside Ballon d’Or winner Messi, and, having been linked with a move to Barcelona in the past, was asked about his future when speaking to reporters.

“He’s a fantastic player, we all know. Of course I’d like to play with him, as with all great players,” AS quotes the France international as saying regarding Messi.

“I saw Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi on television and chose them on the PlayStation. Now I’m next to them, but my goal isn’t just to match them on the field, but to be at their level of better.

“The Ballon d’Or is the dream of every player. I’ll fight to be among the finalists, although it is difficult. I’m a midfielder, not a forward.

“[The FIFPro XI] is a dream come true. I always dreamed of being among the best and today I’m lucky to be here. My work doesn’t stop and I’ll work hard to be one of the three [Ballon d’Or] finalists.”
