Barcelona have confirmed the signing of young attacker Robert from Fluminense on loan until the end of the season.
According to La Blaugrana’s official website, the Brazilian starlet, 20, has passed a medical and will begin training with Gerard Lopez’s ‘B’ team on Thursday.
Contrary to reports, however, the club did not disclose the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the loan.
Robert is considered one of his country’s brightest prospects, having come up through the youth ranks at Fluminense and represented the Selecao at various youth levels.
He becomes Barca’s third January arrival after Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan, despite deals for the pair being tied up in the summer.
