Barcelona haven’t given up on Celta Vigo forward Nolito even though his €18m price is an obstruction and Denis Suarez is on his way from Villarreal.
Mundo Deportivo say Barca would baulk at meeting Nolito’s clause in part because the fee would go on this year’s accounts and the club’s debt is already past the limit set by the statutes.
Celta aren’t interested in letting Nolito go on loan with an obligatory purchase clause in the summer but Barca hope there is still room for agreement, the Catalan publication claims, though there remains interest from Arsenal and unnamed Italian teams.
Denis is meanwhile close to returning to Camp Nou but the Yellow Submarine want a replacement first, and that would be Denis Cheryshev from Real Madrid.
The winger spent last season at El Madrigal and confirming his arrival would speed up Denis’ move.
