Former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is set to replace Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Guardiola has chosen to end his time at the Allianz Arena, despite a reported offer of €20m-per-season to stay, and Marca reports that the Italian struck a deal with the Bavarians last week to take over from the Spaniard.

Bayern’s interest in Ancelotti is nothing new, with reports that there was interest last May when Guardiola dropped the hint he could leave the club to seek further challenges, most notably in the Premier League.

However, at the time Ancelotti maintained his priority was to continue his role at Madrid, although he was subsequently replaced by Rafa Benitez.
