Celta Vigo forward Nolito will miss at least the remainder of 2015 after suffering a hamstring injury against Espanyol on Saturday.

The Spain international was replaced in the latter stages of his side’s 1-0 win at Balaidos, but tests have since revealed damage “in the rectus femoris of his right thigh”.

Club doctor Juan Jose Garcia Cota added in an official statement that Nolito’s recovery time “would not be less than four weeks”.

The injury could prove to be a blessing in disguise, however, as the likes of Barcelona are reportedly readying January bids for the 29-year-old.
