The father and agent of Barcelona forward Neymar has dismissed any chance his son swaps La Blaugrana for the white shirt of Real Madrid.
Neymar Sr has spoken to ESPN Brazil, with his comments picked up by AS, first referencing the need for Barca to negotiate a contract renewal with the Brazil international now despite there being significant time on his current deal.
“Barca aren’t going to wait for his contract to have one or two years remaining,” he said.
“They don’t take as many risks in Spain as they do in Brazil.”
Neymar Sr was also asked about his client’s potential Barca exit and said there is no way he goes to Santiago Bernabeu, as he is on the cusp of something special at Camp Nou.
“I can’t take Neymar to Madrid. He’s making history at Barca,” the representative confirmed.
