Karim Benzema is reportedly in danger of missing Euro 2016 as France are expected to announce his hiatus from the national team next week.
The French Football Federation’s (FFF) website has confirmed that a Press conference will be held by President Noel Le Graet on December 10 to clarify “all current issues”.
One of those will almost certainly be the situation of Real Madrid striker, who is currently facing charges of conspiracy to blackmail in the alleged Mathieu Valbuena sex tape plot.
According to L’Equipe and Le Parisien, the FFF will take the precautionary measure of leaving out Benzema until the Valbuena case is settled.
Benzema endured a turbulent November, with fitness problems being followed by a media frenzy in his homeland and subsequent loss of form.
