Report: Nuno resigns from Valencia

Reports in Spain claim Nuno Espirito Santo has resigned as Valencia Coach following Sunday night’s 1-0 defeat at Sevilla.

Los Che were beaten by a Sergio Escudero goal, not managing to register a shot on target in the 90 minutes, and had both Joao Cancelo and Javi Fuego sent off.

Nuno was appointed at Mestalla in July 2014 to replace Juan Antonio Pizzi and took the club to fourth place in the Primera and the Champions League.

But Valencia are on the brink of elimination at the group stage and defeat to Los Rojiblancos leaves the team ninth in La Liga after 13 games.

Valencia have picked up 19 points this season, winning five, drawing four and losing four.
