James Rodriguez dropped a hint to Real Madrid Coach Rafa Benitez after playing and scoring for Colombia against Chile.
The midfielder featured sporadically for Los Blancos prior to the international break with Benitez suggesting James wasn’t at peak physical condition, deciding against starting the former Monaco man against Sevilla.
“I’m fine. In Madrid I train well, and I just played 90 minutes. I started hard and well, and people still talk about how I’m not fit,” he said, AS reports.
AS notes that Benitez’s decision to go with Gareth Bale and not James, despite Bale also having just recovered from injury, didn’t sit well with James, who scored in the 3-2 defeat at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
