Eusebio Sacristan has promised not to let the fans down after being unveiled as Real Sociedad’s new Coach.
The former Barcelona B boss succeeds David Moyes on a two-and-a-half year contract, and he is confident his reign at Anoeta will prove to be a successful one.
“I appreciate the confidence placed in me,” he said.
“I’m not going to let you [the fans] down. It makes me very excited to be able to coach this team.
“The club have a philosophy and values that I fully share. I fully identify with them.
“We have a big squad, brimming with quality, and we must work together to get out of this situation and be able to experience very special moments.
“I’m filled with hope and joy. It’s a great club through its history, philosophy and youth development. It’s a great joy.
“I like to enjoy my job, particularly the responsibility and balance, and in order to be successful, we must get things right.
“I love the squad Real have. It’s one of high quality and depth, and we’ll work towards achieving the best we can.”
Eusebio also confirmed Juan Carlos Andres, Asier Santana and Gerardo Izaguirre as his assistants.
