As expected, Spain Under-21 starlet Dani Ceballos has officially extended his contract with Real Betis until 2020.
Talks between the two parties had been ongoing for the past year but reportedly escalated last week, resulting in the midfielder becoming one of the Andalucians’ best-paid players, although a significant portion of his earnings are conditional.
A buyout clause between €12m and €15m is also thought to have been agreed.
Ceballos rose to prominence in the summer, having helped Betis to promotion from La Segunda last season and La Roja to the European U19 Championship in July.
A media presentation of his renewal has been scheduled for Monday.
