Man Utd to let Valdes go?

Manchester United could grant former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes a free transfer – but only if he doesn’t sign for Liverpool.

The Daily Mirror has reported that the bad feeling between Valdes and manager Louis Van Gaal has reached the point that there are some at Old Trafford who believe it’d be best to let Valdes go for nothing.

Valdes has been barred from the training ground and looked set to leave United for Besiktas over the summer, only for the move to break down.

Van Gaal allegedly claimed Valdes refused to play in a reserve team game and it is that which led their relationship to break down.

Valdes moved to United on a free transfer in January after his Barca contract expired in the summer of 2014, as he was recovering from a serious knee injury.

United would reportedly let Valdes go if he doesn’t sign for another Premier League, most notably rivals Liverpool, who have been linked with Valdes in the past.
