Bayer Leverkusen Coach Roger Schmidt sees both similarities and differences between Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
The sides meet at Camp Nou in the second round of Champions League group fixtures and the trainer compared Barca to their Bundesliga rivals, coached by ex-Barca man Pep Guardiola.
“There are some elements that are similar, but both coaches have chosen their own way,” Schmidt said, Marca reports.
“I do think there are differences. I don’t think it will help us to have played Bayern.”
Schmidt added that he wants his side to play against Barca with a ‘tight defence and a determined attack.’
“We’ll do everything to be a formidable adversary and play the best game we can. We should be very tight in defence and play with a lot of determination in attack,” he continued.
“If we does and score a goal, it’s possible to take something from Barcelona.”
