Agent Wagner Ribeiro has advised Neymar’s father to send his son to Real Madrid to end his career in a message posted on Instagram.
Marca reports Ribeiro writing after the Barcelona forward had his assets frozen in Brazil with some advice for the national team captain’s financial planning.
“Take your money to tax havens, legally of course, it’s crazy paying taxes in Brazil,” Ribeiro suggested.
“Close your business, the institute and enjoy life on Mediterranean beaches.
“Play for a few more years and finish your career in Europe, preferably at Real Madrid.”
Ribeiro also claimed Neymar’s family background was why he had been targeted by the authorities.
“They want you to stay in the favela. If you had done things different and not fought with ‘sycophants’ and stayed in Madrid and been naturalised Spanish, different from what your conscience told you to do, the people would not be against you,” the post continued.
Ribeiro also alleged that Neymar Sr’s refusal to hire two reporters and Neymar Jr’s support for an opposition politician have also been factors in the tax case brought in Brazil.
