Nuno Santo insists he has no doubts over the commitment of the Valencia squad as Los Che stumble at the start of the season.
A chronic lack of goals and the ensuing poor results has led to pressure on the Coach, with sections of both home and away support calling for him to quit.
“I’m not worried. The only thing I’m concerned with is winning [against Granada on Friday], nothing more than that,” Nuno said at a Press conference, AS reports.
“The best thing is that we play at home and the players are supported. We’ve always been together. It was beautiful when we qualified for the Champions League.
“There are uncontrollable situations. You have to dedicate yourself to prepare for what is in your control. That’s the performance of the players.
“It’s impossible to control the fan that comes with the default idea of whistling the team. When the team is supported, it gives more. The Valencia fan is a fan of Valencia and the players.
“The players are very committed. We want to change the situation and get back to being a winning team. They’re with me to the death as I’m with them to the death. There’s no one at the club who doesn’t want to change the situation.
“We’ve had a lot of chances to score. We’re a team that has controlled all the games, with the majority of possession. We work, take our time, looking for the final blow.
“We have to find the right point for the final blow. We also need to maintain a balance in defence. The players know how to score and I’m sure we will on Friday.
“Doubts? I’m not aware that there are doubts. It’s inevitable that we analyse after a defeat. My obsession is working on the next game, to find a solution and implement it.”
