‘Hopefully it’s not Nolito’s day’

Luis Enrique praises Celta Vigo Coach Eduardo Berizzo and discusses Nolito, a player heavily linked with Barcelona.

It’s a return to his former club for Enrique, and Nolito, an ex-Barca rumoured to be Barca’s chosen replacement for Pedro Rodriguez, will line up for the home side.

“I signed him for Celta, so just imagine. He’s a great player and one of the key pieces of his team. I hope it isn’t his day,” Enrique said regarding the forward, AS reports.

“I don’t think it’s risky to mark Nolito with someone who isn’t a natural full-back. Everyone’s ready. We want the Celta attackers to spend more time defending than attacking.

“The idea is to create chances and not suffer a lot in defence.

“Berizzo has a lot of merit. He’s the Coach. There was trouble at the start of last year but I know that situation, I’ve been through it.

“This year they’re one of the best teams in La Liga and it’s largely thanks to him.

“What did I learn in Vigo? I learn every season. I didn’t want to impose anything there. I tried to adapt to what I had, as I do here.

“All players teach you things. Coaches help the players as a collective.”
