Nuno Santo says he accepts the booing from Valencia fans during Saturday’s goalless draw with Real Betis in La Liga.
Los Che picked up their third draw of the season against the new boys, but the match was overshadowed by widespread jeering from unhappy members of the Mestalla faithful, who could be heard chanting “Nuno go now”.
“The fans have shown their discontent and demonstrated it to me, the head of the team,” the Coach said after the game.
“They did so because we couldn’t score a goal, they wanted us to win and are unhappy. If that’s the case then I take responsibility for the team’s performance.
“If it’s for something else then I don’t know and don’t care. I’m only focused on the work of my players.
“Everything else is speculation, which I won’t comment on. We have much of the season ahead and I think our three draws should have ended in wins.”
