Neymar’s father has assured Barcelona that the forward will be staying at the club for at least three more years.
Speculation had recently linked the Brazilian with a blockbuster switch to Manchester United as talks over a contract extension dragged on, but Neymar Sr insists his son does not “need” to negotiate a renewal for the time being, with his deal not expiring until 2018.
“The fans can relax. Neymar’s staying at Barca,” he told Cuatro.
“We don’t need to negotiate anything with Barca because [Neymar] still has three more years on his contract.”
