Ramos ready to play Shakhtar

Sergio Ramos is expected to be fit to play Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday despite on Sunday training away from his Real Madrid teammates.

Ramos was withdrawn after 75 minutes of Saturday’s rout of Espanyol and replaced by Raphael Varane.

AS reports that the Madrid squad was in for a session on Sunday, with everyone bar injured pair James Rodriguez and Danilo involved.

The official Madrid website adds that the players worked in two groups, those involved in the Espanyol romp going through a recovery session and the rest having a ‘high-intensity’ session focused on moving the ball and transitions.

Ramos meanwhile worked in the Valdebebas gym and should be available for the game against the Ukranians.
