Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has made it clear that he is happy to be playing for “the best club in the world”.
The Frenchman was heavily linked with Arsenal throughout the summer but moved to end the speculation with a defiant Twitter post towards the end of August, and he has reiterated his willingness to fight for his place at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“Nothing happened in the transfer market [over the summer],” he told Telefoot.
“I'm happy at Real Madrid, they're the best club in the world and I'll continue working hard to remain happy.”
