Madrid confident over De Gea

Real Madrid are reportedly confident about signing Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.

According to AS, the Red Devils are ready to accept €40m from Los Blancos for the Spaniard, who has been exiled by manager Louis van Gaal.

Although it still remains to be seen whether Madrid will meet United's asking price, they are reportedly in the process of planning the 24-year-old's presentation for Tuesday.

United are believed to remain frustrated with Sergio Ramos' perceived usage of the club as a barganing chip for improved wages at the Santiago Bernabeu, while the likes of Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand have expressed their disdain with the player's conduct

Nonetheless, the newspaper stresses that the English giants' stance has softened over the past week and an agreement could finally be in reach, despite De Gea's contract expiring in a year's time.
