Line-ups: Sporting-Madrid

Keylor Navas, Danilo and Jese are among the first La Liga XI chosen by Rafa Benitez as Real Madrid Coach as Los Blancos go to Sporting Gijon.

Navas gets the nod in goal following the departure of Iker Casillas to Porto and amid continued speculation regarding Manchester United’s David De Gea.

Kiko Casilla, signed from Espanyol over the summer, is among the substitutes, as is fellow new arrival Mateo Kovacic.

Danilo, another of Madrid’s summer purchases, starts at right-back, displacing Dani Carvajal, while Sergio Ramos partners Raphael Varane in the centre of defence. Carvajal, and Pepe, are among the reserves.

Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Isco all start, as do Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, as well as cantera product Jese.

Newly-promoted Sporting are without Alen Halilovic, loaned from Barcelona but not in time for the first round of Primera fixtures.

Ivan Cuellar keeps goal for the home side, with a defence of Alberto Lora, Luis Hernandez, Bernardo Espinosa and Isma Lopez.

Sergio Alvarez and Nacho Cases are teamed in midfield and Miguel Guerrero is supported in attack by Jony, Carlos Caromna and Antonio Sanabria, signed from Roma.
