Zinedine Zidane has appointed his son Enzo as captain of Real Madrid Castilla this season.
The midfielder, 20, was recently promoted to Los Blancos’ second string, having scored four goals in 26 matches for their C team in La Tercera.
Consequently, Zidane has opted to give him the captaincy in the wake of Sergio Aguza, Derik Osede and Diego Llorente all departing the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
Enzo has already donned the armband for Castilla in three pre-season friendlies against Villarreal B, Burgos and Gimnastica Segoviana.
