Eibar are reportedly looking at Real Madrid youngster Borja Mayoral as the solution to their striker search, but will be rebuffed in an approach.
AS reports the Basques are in the market for a centre-forward and Mayoral has caught their eye, but Madrid want to keep the cantera product close to home to monitor his development.
Mayoral has featured for Rafa Benitez in pre-season and impressed the Coach, and is in line to step in during the full campaign should Karim Benzema or Jese go down injured.
Madrid also want Mayoral playing for Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid Castilla in order to help the second string to promotion.
All of which means Eibar will be disappointed should they follow up their interest in the 18-year-old with an official bid.
