Villarreal should soon announce the signing of Cedric Bakambu, the Bursaspor forward, reports in Spain claim.
AS say the transfer will be confirmed on Monday, barring any late setbacks, and the player and his agent are in Vila-real already.
Bakambu is expected to pass a medical without any issue and is one of two strikers the Yellow Submarine have been working to sign, Roberto Soldado being the other.
A fee of €7m is mooted for the France-born DR Congo international who last season claimed 29 goals for his club. Bakambu has previously represented Sochaux.
