Nuno Santo has distanced Valencia from speculation linking them with Victor Valdes and Nicolas Otamendi with Manchester United.
Reports over the past week had claimed that Los Che could move for the Reds goalkeeper following his feud with manager Louis van Gaal, while the Argentine is understood to have become United’s main defensive target as a deal for Sergio Ramos remains at an impasse.
“[On Valdes], there have been many names in the Press, but most of them aren’t true,” the Coach was quoted as saying by EFE.
“However, we’ll only make a decision [on a player] when we feel that it’s the right time.
“[Otamendi] is a Valencia player and a cornerstone [of our project], so any other matter [referring to a hypothetical departure] must be spoken about, discussed and assessed for the best outcome.”
