‘United would make €60m Ramos offer’

It is reported that Manchester United are prepared to pay €60m for Sergio Ramos, but will not up their bid any higher.

The English side have already had one offer for the Real Madrid defender, of €45m, turned down.

At the time, Los Blancos insisted that they would not sell the 29-year-old, who has recently replaced Iker Casillas as the club’s captain, for anything less than €90m.

Ramos himself is thought to be keen on a move to Old Trafford, despite Madrid President Florentino Perez recently saying that ‘there are players who the club does not want to leave and who will not leave.’

Now, according to AS, it has emerged that the Red Devils are unwilling to pay Los Blancos’ reported asking price for the centre-back. They are, however, prepared to further test Madrid’s resolve to keep hold of him by upping their bid by up to €15m.
