Santi Mina says he did not have to think twice about joining Valencia and hopes to make the club right in offering him a six-year contract.
The attacker, 19, joined Los Che last week for a reported €10m and is keen to enjoy a fruitful spell at Mestalla, despite acknowledging the fierce competition awaiting him.
“It’s an important step in my career, a new and ambitious step,” he told Valencia’s official website.
“I didn’t hesitate to join Valencia. I know it’ll be difficult to play, but I’m here to help and contribute my bit for the team.
“I don’t mind where I play. I can play on the left or right, while Luis Enrique even played me as a centre-forward.
“I look forward to learning and working with these great players. I also want to thank my family and friends and hopefully I can meet the expectations asked of me.
“Hopefully, I bring plenty of joy over the next six years. I won’t need any pushing.”
