New Real Madrid signing Danilo would like to share a dressing room with Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos, saying they could prove helpful during hard times.
The long-serving Blancos duo have been heavily linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
However, in an interview with Marca, the Brazilian full back described Casillas and Ramos as historic players.
“They are historic players, players who can support you during difficulties,” Danilo said.
The 23-year-old then turned his attention to his own position, stating it will be difficult to win a place in Rafa Benitez’s starting 11.
“Carvajal and Arbeloa already have their history, I need to win my place. At the moment I am the third right-back at Real Madrid.”
Finally, Danilo is already looking forward to going up against compatriot Neymar in this season’s Clasicos.
“I’ve already joked with Neymar about the Clasicos, it will be strange to defend against him.”
