Sergio Ramos’ camp have reportedly made it clear that the defender would never play for Barcelona following remarks made by a Catalans’ presidential candidate.
Jordi Majo claimed on Friday that the Real Madrid centre-back had been offered to him as an electoral trump card, before assuring that he would not pursue the player due to the rivalry shared by both clubs.
However, AS claims Ramos’ entourage, headed by his agent and brother Rene, have denied that he has been offered to any candidate and stressed that he would never wear a Blaugrana jersey.
Ramos joined Madrid from Sevilla a decade ago and is now just 55 matches shy of reaching half a century in terms of appearances for Los Blancos.
