Diego Godin insists the entire Uruguay team will have to be involved with trying to prevent Argentina’s Lionel Messi deciding the Copa America tie.
Uruguay and Argentina meet on Tuesday and the Atletico Madrid captain has gone before the Press ahead of the contest.
“It takes a good team effort to control crucial players like Messi,” Godin said, Marca reports, when he was asked about the Barcelona forward.
“The whole team needs to work and not just those who are marking him. Argentina have great players so we can’t only focus on Messi.”
