Benedito ‘clarifies’ Pogba comments

Agusti Benedito has moved to clear up comments he made regarding Paul Pogba and a possible move to Barcelona.

Benedito, a candidate for the Presidency in this summer’s election, appeared to claim to have spoken to the Juventus midfielder about signing in at Camp Nou should he succeed Josep Maria Bartomeu.

“I was asked if I had spoken personally to Pogba and I said it wasn't me personally,” Benedio said, Mundo Deportivo reports, as he presented his financial program.

“Our people had a meeting with Pogba's people and it was clear he had a proposal of €12m from PSG and he didn't want to give it up. And Juve won’t sell for less than €80m.

“I wouldn't rule it out but it's not a case of Pogba or nothing. There are other important players taking into account these economic conditions.”
