Zidane: Madrid want Pogba

Zinedine Zidane has confirmed Real Madrid’s interest in Paul Pogba and feels the Juventus midfielder “has everything”.

Links between Los Blancos and the Frenchman looked to have died down, with Barcelona reportedly overtaking their arch-rivals as favourites, but the Castilla boss has now made no secret of both his and his employers’ admiration for the 22-year-old.

“He has everything. I think he’s fantastic. What I like about him is that he has everything,” he told RTL.

“He’s a complete player who also has the ability to score goals because he likes to get forward.

“In terms of footballing ability, he’s extraordinary. A lot of clubs are interested in him and so are Real [Madrid].

“Inevitably, talented players are of interest to all big clubs, but it’s important that they’re in a healthy environment for their growth.

“I hope that’ll always be the case [with Pogba].”

Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri admitted on Friday that his side would consider selling Pogba if they received a large-enough bid.
