Four Real Madrid legends are unanimous in their belief that Rafa Benitez is the right Coach to lead the club back to silverware.
Los Blancos’ stars from yesteryear participated in the sixth Corazon Classic charity match at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, coming back from behind to beat Liverpool’s greats 4-2.
Paco Buyo, generally regarded as Madrid’s best-ever goalkeeper barring Iker Casillas, with over 450 appearances to his name, remarked: “He’s a man who has shown great qualities as a Coach.
“I know him well because I met him at Real Madrid when he began his coaching career.
“He’s a modern Coach, super prepared and I think he’ll make his certainly mark in Madrid.
Meanwhile, former Madrid striker Fernando Morientes added: “The early signs look good, but the most important thing is the results.”
Finally, legendary left-back Roberto Carlos concluded: “He’s an experienced Coach and also Spanish.
“I wish him all the luck in the world and ask him to do what he’s done at other clubs in Madrid, which is to build a great team and put Madrid back where they’ve always been.”
