The agent of Karim Benzema has insisted that the striker does not want to leave Real Madrid following reports of a meeting with Manchester United.
Reports in the English Press last week claimed the 27-year-old spoke to United chief executive Ed Woodward about a possible transfer, but Karim Djaziri has made it clear that his client will not be departing the Santiago Bernabeu unless he is told otherwise.
“Karim doesn’t want to end his contract with Real Madrid. He wants to retire with them," the representative was quoted as saying by Marca.
“I haven’t been in London to meet with any club, including [Manchester] United.
“We’ve had no contact except with Real Madrid. What would Karim be doing in Manchester? If he’s happy in Madrid, he wouldn’t want to leave.
“The only way Benzema would leave is if Madrid tell him they no longer want him.”
