Carlos Tevez has admitted that Juventus’ best may not be enough to beat Barcelona in the Champions League final on Saturday.
The Argentine was part of the Manchester United team who lost 3-1 to La Blaugrana in the 2009 final, and he has warned his Bianconeri teammates that only will a superhuman effort will do if they are to have a chance of triumphing in Berlin.
“[Barca] are the best team in the world and we’ll face the three best forwards in the world, so we have to work very hard. Our game has to be better than perfect,” he told UEFA.com.
“[Massimiliano Allegri] has given me the freedom to play as best I can, so I’ve given more this season than I did last season.
“We know that Gigi [Buffon] is a phenomenon. Having him in goal gives the outfield players extra confidence.
“Scoring a goal against Gigi is difficult and that gives us a bit of extra security.”
