David Beckham has wished Rafa Benitez luck at Real Madrid but admitted he was disappointed to see Carlo Ancelotti leave.
Beckham spent four years at Santiago Bernabeu, between 2003 and 2007, and briefly played under Ancelotti at Paris Saint-Germain.
“I love Ancelotti. He works with passion. I think he’s a wonderful person, an incredible Coach, so I’m sorry to see him leave,” the former England captain said, Marca reports, at the opening of a store in Madrid.
“I’m sorry because I think he’s given a lot to the team and the club. I’m sure he’ll have success wherever he goes.
“Good luck to Rafa. Leading Madrid is something very special.”
