Liverpool have been linked with an approach for Real Madrid’s Russia international winger Denis Cheryshev, who spent the season with Villarreal.
AS claim the Premier League club will make an offer of between €15m and €20m for Cheryshev, who is due to return to Santiago Bernabeu on June 30 following his year at El Madrigal.
Cheryshev, 24, impressed with Villarreal and could be a replacement for Raheem Sterling, AS say, while his style would suit the Premier League.
He is under contract to Madrid until 2017 and Madrid have yet to decide if they will insist on a buyback clause as they did when Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Morata moved to Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus respectively.
