De Gea to Madrid done?

Reports from England claim Real Madrid have ‘virtually completed’ the signing of Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

AS cites stories from the British Press that say Los Blancos are to pay €35m for the Spain international and De Gea has said his goodbyes to the United staff.

De Gea is currently on international duty, preparing for La Roja’s games against Costa Rica and Belarus, and has yet to publically commit one way or the other.

His United contract expires in 2016 and the club face a question as to selling De Gea now or risking him leaving for free in 12 months.

Should De Gea move to Santiago Bernabeu then United would chase either Chelsea’s Petr Cech, Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic or Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris as a successor.
