Gaizka Garitano announced his resignation as Eibar Coach after the Basque club were relegated from La Liga.
Eibar beat Cordoba 3-0 on the final day but other results see them return to the Segunda after a single season in the top flight.
“The cycle is finished,” Garitano said after the match, according to AS.
“The Coach of a relegated team has no authority to stay. I was very excited to take Eibar to the Primera but I haven’t met our objective and I have to go.”
