Ancelotti on Ronaldo, Pogba & Casillas

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba and Iker Casillas ahead of Getafe on Sunday.

Aside from his future at the Santiago Bernabeu, the Italian was asked for his honest assessment on the trio, and he proceeded to pay tribute to both the No 7 and veteran goalkeeper, along with the Juventus midfielder, whom he refused to deny maintaining an interest in.

“We’ve arrived better physically [at this stage of the season] than we did last season,” he said at a Press conference.

“We had a slump in February because of injuries, but the team improved after that. Still, February was our most physically-challenging period.

“I’ve lost count of [Cristiano Ronaldo’s] goals this season. He’s done as much as he possibly could and I couldn’t have asked for more from him.

“[Paul Pogba] is a great player. He’s young and has a great future ahead is him. He’d be good for any team he decides to join and is one of the best talents in Europe.

“[On Iker Casillas’ future], Iker wants to stay and everyone is happy with him.”
