Stoichkov: ‘Barca will beat Juve’

Former Barcelona striker Hristo Stoichkov is predicting a Barcelona victory over Juventus when the teams meet in the Champions League final.

Furthermore, the Bulgarian believes that the showdown in Berlin on June 6 will go the way of the Catalans by at least a ‘two-goal margin’.

“Barcelona will beat Juventus by at least two goals because of all the sacrifices they have made during the season and because they possess more talent,” Stoichkov told Onda Cero.

“They also have Lionel Messi, who is out of this world and someone who will always be one of the best.

“In addition, behind Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez there are eight more players who make Barcelona a team that works.”

Stoichkov is adamant that boss Luis Enrique will still be at the club next season despite rumours of a possible departure in the summer.

“He is completely decided on staying at the club. He is a good Coach for Barcelona despite him being affected by [director of football] Andoni Zubizarreta’s exit.

“Luis Enrique is excellent at managing the dressing room. He does not give in easily and has a lot of character. That’s why he was a winner as a player,” said the 49-year-old, who also commented on Real Madrid’s situation at the moment.

“Iker Casillas does not deserve what is happening to him and I think Carlo Ancelotti is a good guy and a good Coach.

“I think he’ll stay at Madrid unless something really strange happens,” he maintained.
