Vidal dreaming of CL glory

Arturo Vidal insists he is dreaming of Champions League glory ahead of Juventus’s semi-final clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday.

The Italians take a 2-1 advantage into the game from last week’s first leg in Turin and Vidal says he would give anything to be able to score a goal at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“I dream of playing in the Champions League final and would give anything for just one goal there,” admitted the Chilean in an interview with SportMedia set.

“It’s always going to be difficult playing against Real Madrid on their home ground but we are not thinking of anything else but winning and playing with the heart.

“We know they are going to start strong so we must remain calm and if we get an opportunity we have to score.”

The 27-year-old admitted that the start to this season had not been an easy one for him.

“I’ve had a lot of problems this year but the important thing now is that I’m fit and I want to go all the way to the final.

“I did everything to be able to play and trained at 100 per cent, so maybe now people are realising the sacrifices I made.

“It’s been difficult because we got a new Coach and some new players, while the team has changed the way it plays.

“In our heads we only wanted to win the Scudetto but [boss] Massimiliano Allegri has altered things with respect to the previous boss.

“The team have taken his ideas on board and I think we’ve done pretty well this year,” he maintained.
