Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini believes his team must put Real Madrid under pressure when the two sides clash on Wednesday.
The Italians take a 2-1 advantage to the Santiago Bernabeu for the Champions League semi-final second leg game and Chiellini feels they must take the game to the hosts, despite a section of fans again turning on goalkeeper Iker Casillas in the 2-2 weekend draw with Valencia.
“It’s us who are going to have to put pressure on our opponents, who are expert players at international level, and they will not let whistles from their own fans get to them,” he told Sky Sports
“We can’t wait for Wednesday to come round. Maybe we’ve had more demanding moments on an emotional level, like the last two weeks leading up to the Scudetto.
“However, in terms of prestige it is perhaps the most important and having got through the last 16 and the quarter-finals it has given us more confidence,” he asserted.
