Busquets going to Munich to win

Sergio Busquets maintains Barcelona will be going all out to beat Bayern Munich next week in the Allianz Arena.

Barca are clear favourites to reach the Champions League final in Berlin after their 3-0 demolition of the Bundesliga giants at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, yet Busquets insists the Catalans will not be taking things lightly.

“Although everyone is making us favourites we are taking things step by step because if there’s one team that can cause you trouble on their home ground it’s Bayern, particularly with the Coach they have,” Busquets told Barcelona’s official website.

“We are confident in ourselves and know if we score in Munich we’ll have much more of an advantage. We’ll be going out as we do in every game – looking to win.”

Busquets believes that having Lionel Messi in the team is almost a guarantee of success for the Blaugrana, while he also had kind words for former Barca boss Pep Guardiola following his return with Bayern.

“If you have Messi in your side he guarantees a lot of things. Not only does he score goals but he also assists, works and wins the ball. He’s the best player in the world.

“As for Pep coming back, it’s difficult to forget everything he did for me. I’ve got many memories and I owe him a lot. He’s very special.”
