Karim Benzema won’t travel to Turin as part of the Real Madrid squad to play Juventus despite making good progress in his injury recovery.
AS say Carlo Ancelotti decided to leave the France international at home following a Sunday training session of which Benzema was part, but as the striker is still showing signs of discomfort, the Coach isn’t taking any chances.
The aim instead is to get Benzema fully fit for the final games of the season although, AS add, if the Champions League final was tomorrow, he would force himself through it.
Gareth Bale is part of the squad and AS suggest the Wales international’s involvement made it easier for Ancelotti to leave Benzema behind.
