Alcaraz calls on Levante fans

Lucas Alcaraz has urged the Levante supporters to get behind his team when they take on Cordoba at the Ciutat de Valencia on Tuesday.

Los Granotes are currently four points clear of the relegation zone in 15th place with 32 points. However, with just five games remaining Alcaraz is aware his team needs all the help it can get in the fight for top-flight safety, particularly since his players had to endure whistles from a section of the crowd in the last home game against Espanyol.

“This is going to be a game where we’ll need a lot of help from the fans and a lot of patience from the players,” he told a Press conference.

“Everyone must pull in the same direction so we can take all three points. It will be very important because we all know what’s at stake and Cordoba have been doing well away from home.

“We have to have faith and confidence in the team to address the crucial moments during the match, although we must do that without thinking about the outcome and see how the game develops.

“I don’t think Cordoba will be playing with any anxiety so we’ve just got to concentrate on what we do, whilst also respecting the opposition.”
