Teenager charged for Barca bomb threat

Spanish police will press charges against a 17-year-old who threatened to detonate a bomb during the Copa del Rey final at Camp Nou on May 30.

According to an official statement released by the director general of the country’s National Police, the Murcia native published several comments on Twitter, in which he claimed he would “let off a bomb” on the day of the match.

The tweets were also written just a day before the Alps plane tragedy on March 24, which resulted in 150 deaths.

Although the youngster deleted his account 24 hours later, fearing he could be identified, his location was easily traceable as the posts quickly went viral.

This season’s Copa final will be contested by Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona.
