Javi Guerra wants Malaga stay

Javi Guerra has admitted that he wants his loan deal from Cardiff City to Malaga made into a permanent arrangement.

The Malaga-born striker arrived at La Rosaleda in the January transfer window and has since made five La Liga appearances, scoring once, and believes he can do enough between now and the end of the season to secure a deal.

“The best and most important part of the season is yet to come and there is a tough challenge ahead of us,” the 33-year-old told a Press conference.

“The recent injured I suffered has been a setback as it was worse than I thought, but I’m now fully recovered and without pain so I’m available to the Coach.

“I’ve already said I’d like to stay here and my aim is to bring more to the team and demand more from myself as I’ve not been happy with my performances so far.

“I’m hoping I can open my account at La Rosaleda against Real Sociedad this weekend. There’s no pressure on us and we are hoping to regain our enthusiasm,” asserted Guerra.
