Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets says he is happy at the prospect of playing the Copa del Rey final at the Camp Nou on May 30.
The Spanish Football Federation decided on Wednesday that the game against Athletic Bilbao would take place at Barca’s stadium, while Busquets has a message for fans of both clubs who wish to whistle the national anthem.
“Playing the final at the Camp Nou is, for me, the best option,” remarked the Spain international in an interview with Onda Cero.
“Whistles? Hopefully people will go there to watch their team. Football is a spectacle and something that should be enjoyed.”
Busquets also commented on last week’s Clasico with Real Madrid and believes the animosity between the sides over the past few years has now been forgotten.
“Normality has now returned to the Clasico because the things that occurred in recent years were not pleasant.
“It’s nice to get some good vibes. We are friends and colleagues but what happened took its toll on everyone.
“Both Real Madrid and Barcelona were used to playing a different type of game in El Clasico.”
